Hi, I'm Kirsten. Having nurtured a secret desire to draw and paint since forever, when I came across the opportunity to run art classes (whilst learning more for myself) in 2022, it seemed like a no brainer. Since then, and having found two tutors who are amazing artists in their own right, our art community has blossomed into a wonderfully, friendly and supportive space for our students to come and enjoy. Kirsty and Irina bring their own unique styles and influences to our classes and are passionate about sharing their knowledge and skill by introducing students to a wide variety of ideas, tools and mediums. Each tutor (and myself), knows exactly what it is like to feel new and nervous about putting pen to paper but we allow students to work at their own pace whilst getting the support and guidance they need. For sure, any judgement is left firmly outside the door.

Tuesday classes

Kirsty was born in South Africa and although she grew up in England, SA is very much a part of her heart and soul and is where she trained and worked as a Safari Guide and Tracker. This wonderful experience is evident in her creativity.

Now back in the UK, she works as an artist and tutor, sharing her love of the natural world through the use of bold colours, mediums, ideas and techniques. She teaches adults and children and does so with kindness and patience which in turn encourages confidence.

Irina Taneva

Wednesday classes

Irina is a Master’s-level qualified Fine Art painter, educated at the UAL and the National Academy of Art, Sofia. Working in oil on canvas, she increasingly explores mixed media—drawn to the intricate layers and slow drying process that reflect the depth of our emotions and inner worlds. Irina’s art brings warmth, colour, and character to any space. Her bold, textured, and harmonious works are held in private collections and museums worldwide, speaking directly to the heart. She continues to inspire others through her other great passion: teaching the mastery of art to both children and adults.
